Yes. For example, the server considers myimage.jpg different from MyImage.jpg.

- What should my first page (index page, main page, home page, front page) be called? [top]
The server is configured to look for an index page (home page) in the following order:
1. index.php (or index.php3 or index.php4)
2. index.cgi
3. index.html (or index.htm)
4. index.shtml
5. default.html (or default.htm)
6. home.html (or home.htm)

You may have reached your account's diskspace limit. Try removing old and unneeded files. You can also check your diskspace usage at your website control panel:
www.yourwebsitename.com/cpanel

Under the Stats section of your website control panel. Login to your website control panel at: http://hosting.dollardomainname.com/cpanel

- Where do I upload my website to? [top]
FTP in to your website and upload your files to the /public_html directory.

- Why can't I see my new website? [top]
If your website has been newly created, you should see our default 'Welcome' page.
If you do see our default 'welcome' page on your domain, then your website is already working. In that case, please see: http://www.dollardomainname.com/hosting/account/faq.php?&faq_op=faq&&cid=2#22
If you don't see the default welcome page, it could be 1 of the following reasons:
1. If you just purchased the domain name, please note that it takes up to 24 hours for new domains to become effective.
2. If you just transfered the domain name, please note that transfers take up to 7 days. The new website cannot work until after all the transfer steps have completed.
3. If your domain is registered elsewhere, but you signed up for hosting from us, you will need to update your domain's DNS settings to point to: NS1.DOLLARDOMAINNAME.COM (209.17.160.83) and NS2.DOLLARDOMAINNAME.COM (209.17.160.89). Unfortunately, we cannot do this update for you since the domain is registered elsewhere.

- Why can't I see my website even though I already uploaded it? [top]
Please check the following:
1. Upload your website files to /public_html See http://www.dollardomainname.com/hosting/account/faq.php?&faq_op=faq&&cid=2#6
2. Check that you named your main page (index page) correctly. See: http://www.dollardomainname.com/hosting/account/faq.php?&faq_op=faq&&cid=2#20
3. Note that the server is case-sensitive. See: http://www.dollardomainname.com/hosting/account/faq.php?&faq_op=faq&&cid=2#2
4. Check file permissions. It should be rw-r--r-- (mode 0644) for HTML/php files and rwxr-xr-x (mode 0755) for perl scripts. You check/change file permissions using your FTP program. Please check the help documentation on your FTP program on how to do this.
